Cherri Atkins, Atkins Design Group, created the Contemporary Hill Country plan. Designed to meet the changing needs of its owners, the first floor 3,278 sq. ft. plan includes a kitchen, great room, and flex/dining room along with a study, master bedroom ensuite, 3 additional bedrooms, 2 baths and powder room. There is an additional 474 sq. ft. bonus room along with a powder room on the second floor.
The Village Park Eco Home is a net zero-energy ready house demonstrating how to build a high-performance, green, energy efficient, healthy home using building science. Sustainable and recycled materials are included resulting in minimal impact on the environment. The house is a certified DOE Challenge Home, Energy Star Home and Green Built Texas Home.
Cherri Atkins, Atkins Design Group designed the house. It is built by Wayne Atkins and Chris Miles of Sterling Brook Custom Homes. Barbara Gilbert, Barbara Gilbert Interiors, designed the interior finishes and furnishings. The design and furnishings make it easy for the kitchen and living areas to adapt to changing family and activity needs. Interior finishes and furnishings create a sanctuary from hectic lives. The special features we see in the Village Park Eco Home today will soon be the norm.
